Teenager Easter Baskets

My daughter graduates from high school this year and yet the types of things hidden for the Easter morning hunt don’t change. There is still the stuffed bunny, the chocolate bunny (or two), the plastic eggs – a bit more money in them now but the concept is the same, the silly putty, the chocolate dipped peep, plus the bubbles and toys. This year, there were two toys since we did less candy. The “egg of bunnies” in the style of a “barrel of monkeys” was a hit. The other toy was finger lights, little colored lights to wear like rings. Instead of wearing them under the covers like a seven year old, she will wear them to concerts like a seventeen year old. When I was a kid there were dyed hard boiled eggs to find, along with the fun stuff. My daughter looked for dyed eggs a few times but after finding a lost egg by smell a few days after Easter, I have decided some traditions do not need to be repeated.
