The Internet probably has more videos and pictures devoted to cats than any other subject. A dog may be man’s best friend but a cat is the Internet darling. Our cat, Karma, is a talker. She starts talking about four in the morning, when she wants breakfast, and she talks on and off through-out the day. She is also a fighter, she plays rough. She draws blood from a family member almost every day, usually my husband. If a friend comes over and sets her purse down, Karma will sit on the purse and take a swipe at anyone who tries to pick it up, including the owner of the purse. Our cat sits on paperwork, howls and hisses, and won’t let you near it. Karma is also affectionate. If you are sick she will snuggle up with you and purr. If you are laying by the fire, she will come and lay by the fire, too. She steals a warm chair if you get up but she will share if you want to sit back down. Karma misses my daughter and gets excited when she hears her car. When my daughter is gone for more than a day, Karma keeps checking in her room. When she gets home Karma starts out mad but ends up climbing on my daughter’s lap and making mashed potatoes. (You know that thing cats do when they are creating a nest). We only have one friend brave enough to feed her when we go out of town though – she takes a swipe at people coming in the front door, unless it is one of us. Karma is never boring, she is pure entertainment!
